How to validate an email address?
Thanks to the most recent advancement in artificial intelligence, application programming interfaces (APIs), which send and retrieve data between two software systems, have developed new ways to gather, filter, and deliver data. In the case of email validation, a tool may be used to check if an email address is still active or if it has been abandoned by its owner. If that email address is active, it can also be used to send a response.
How does an API for email validation work?
An API for email validation works in a number of different ways depending on which API is being used. However, the most common way is for the API to automatically scan through a database of known email addresses and see if any of them match the one being tested. If they do, then the API will return a positive result and the email address is valid. If not, then it will return a negative result and the email address is invalid.
There is another way of checking an email address. It consists in sending an SMTP request to the server at the time of registration, while entering the IP address and port to learn whether your domain exists with the chosen IP:port combination. Or you may use this SMIP protocol:
The final way of validating an email address is by sending a test message to that address and seeing if it arrives at its intended destination. Again, this method can be inaccurate if the sender has not fully typed out the email address correctly or if they have used symbols instead of letters (for example, @ instead of at). As a result, this method is not always 100% accurate.
There are several reasons why business owners would want to use this kind of APIs:

You may want to send a newsletter to your customers, for instance, but you don’t want to waste time sending emails
With this API you can check if an e-mail address is valid or invalid and if it is a temporary / disposable account. If the address is valid and it isn’t a temporary email account then the “block” parameter will be false. Otherwise, it will be true.
