Fill the form below to begin filtering the words of your website.
Profanity filter is a function that works by looking for words in a text that are considered offensive. These words are often included in the dictionary of swear words, but they can also be prohibited by the censor based on their context. It is used in many different applications, such as chat rooms, instant messaging clients, email programs, games, and websites.
This API works with a confidence level that this word has been filtered by this censor. It also has a list of forbidden words and an explanation of why that word was blocked.
A word is banned if its level of confidence is above the set threshold. Words with confidence levels below this level are permitted but listed as restricted words (for example, those marked with asterisks). It is therefore important to set the threshold at an appropriate level.
In addition to providing a list of forbidden words and their context, some filters also check for inappropriate grammar. In general, it is not appropriate to capitalize certain words (such as “I” or “and”).
