In the month of the Oscars, Disney+ gets themed and will receive several of the nominated films in this edition of the Academy Awards, as well as a new series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a Pixar movie and much more.
Similarly, coinciding with Women's Day (March 8), you can find all kinds of complex female characters and the most iconic women on the big screen. From classic Disney princesses to the fiercest superheroines, you can find everything you need to celebrate women across six Disney+ brands.
Movie premieres on Disney Plus
In the cinematographic field, we even have some films nominated for the 2022 Oscars such as West Side Story, The Eyes of Tammy Faye or The Alley of Lost Souls, in addition to the new Pixar, which will skip theaters for the third time in a row.
An adaptation of the 1957 musical, West Side Story, from producer/director Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by writer/playwright Tony Kushner, tells the story of forbidden love and the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two street gangs from adolescents of different ethnic origins. It will arrive on the platform on March 2 on the Star channel.
Red is the new Pixar movie, which skips theaters and will arrive directly on Disney Plus on March 11. It will be the third Pixar film to be released exclusively via streaming, after Soul (2020) and Luca (2021). It tells the story of Mei Lee, a 13-year-old girl who transforms into a giant red panda when she gets too upset.
Guillermo del Toro's new Alley of Lost Souls is a suspenseful psychological thriller about a manipulative pitchman (Bradley Cooper) who teams up with a trickster psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) to swindle the rich from the New York society of the 40s. It opens on March 16 after passing through theaters.
More Than Robots is a documentary film that tells the story of four teams of teenagers from around the world preparing for the FIRST 2020 robotics competition. It opens on March 18.
Another of the films nominated for the Academy Awards is The Eyes of Tammy Faye, which arrives in the Disney + catalog on March 23. Starring Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain, who is up for her best actress Oscar role, as televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, who seek redemption after their religious empire and marriage crumble.

Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild – the new adventures of the prehistoric troop, which is giving way to new protagonists. This time Buck, Crash and Eddie try to stop the dinosaurs from invading the Lost World. Premiere on March 25.
Also premiering March 25, Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u features 11 songs from “SOUR” performed in new arrangements at such special venues as the Mojave Airplane Boneyard, Roy's Motel & Café, Arcosanti, and Red Rock Canyon State Park .

Home for Twelve: A remake of the 2003 family comedy about the noisy adventures of a twelve-member blended family, the Bakers, premieres March 18. Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff star as Zoey and Paul, a married couple managing hectic daily life while simultaneously running the family business.
Untold Parallels: Four school friends, Sam, Bilal, Romane and Victor, lead uneventful lives in a sleepy mountain town when a mysterious event turns their world upside down. Premiere on March 23.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues with the new series from Marvel Studios. Moon Knight, the series starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy, will be available exclusively on Disney+ starting March 30.
