If you are a teacher or professor, you know that testing is an essential part of the learning process.
A difficult test with difficult questions can be a challenge for your students, but a test without questions can be even worse.
Without test questions, your students won’t have any idea what they’re supposed to learn or how they’re doing with their learning.
And not every student will have the same experience. Some of your students will be able to answer all or most of the questions on the test, while some may struggle with just a few questions. If a student doesn’t understand a question, he or she won’t be able to give you an accurate response.
And students who don’t understand the purpose of the test or how they can improve their learning are unlikely to see any improvement in their learning over time.
We advise every teacher to create tests for students for three factors:
A test teaches students about the subject being taught and helps them remember what they’ve learned.
A test gives you data so you can understand how well your class is comprehending the material and where more instruction may be required.
You should always give your students tests after teaching them a new subject so they can demonstrate what they have learned.
For example, if your course is on “English as a Second Language,” you may give a vocabulary quiz as one way to assess comprehension. You might also supply sample sentences using each word either in isolation or in a sentence, and ask them to highlight the word(s) if they recognize it.
After you grade their tests and identify the areas for improvement, you may then devote additional time to that topic in class. And one of those tools could be our Question Generator API.
Test What You Need From Your Students
No matter what field your students are studying or how old they are, it is critical that their instructors regularly administer tests and make them take higher-level classes.
The cost of being unprepared for life after graduation is too high for us to ignore this responsibility. And we advise every instructor to use our Question Generator API as a part of this practice.
