The Siemens EQ.6 Plus S700 at a glance
The Siemens coffee machine EQ.6 Plus S700 is the premium model of the EQ.6 series. However, the differences to the other models are not as great as you might think. The optically and qualitatively most noticeable difference are the stainless steel applications of the S700 – the smaller model numbers are completely made of plastic. In addition, the automatic programs differ slightly: The S700 offers the full range of programs, while the black S100 (basic version) offers the fewest preselection programs. The coffee machine lacks settings such as "Americano" and "Flat White". The S300 is silver and offers the programs just mentioned – apart from that it is almost identical. The S400, on the other hand, is a special model of the S300 and differs mainly in that it can dispense two cups at the same time for all types of coffee. The S400 also comes with an insulated milk container that you have to buy separately with the S300.
The basic functions and the grinder do not differ.
The EQ.6 S700 offered here does not come with a milk container.
Our conclusion on the Siemens EQ.6 Plus S300 at the time of testing:
"If you don't want to spend too much money but don't want to forego comfort or taste, the Siemens EQ.6 plus s300 TE653501DE is a great all-round machine. The most impressive feature in the test is the excellently insulated grinder – the machine is quieter than all the others Appliances, but you also need a lot of space in the kitchen for that."
Note: The test refers to the sister model EQ.6 Plus S300, not to the EQ.6 Plus S700. Apart from a different color scheme and a few automatic programs, the devices are identical.
