A ping is used to measure how fast or how well connected your host is to another host across an Internet connection. It does this by sending a small packet of data to another computer and then waiting for a reply. A fast reply indicates a short round-trip time and a responsive connection, while a slow reply indicates a longer round-trip time and a sluggish connection.
You can use ping in your every day life for many different things. One of the main ones is to check how well your internet is doing.
Sends a ping to any IP you declare and replies with status, RTT, and Unix Timestamp of ping.
