Panasonic Lumix GH6 review: The best DSLM for filmmakers
The Panasonic Lumix GH6 has a couple of cooling slots behind the fan, which cool down the electronics if necessary, so that high-resolution films work without heat problems. Incidentally, this was not necessary in our test. Here the DSLM filmed without a fan in 4K at 60fps. Accordingly, the supplied cold is only necessary for longer recordings and especially in warm surroundings. Good this way!

Accurate autofocus and high-speed recording
The Panasonic Lumix GH6 is also fast in terms of continuous shooting speed. Up to 75 frames per second are possible here – but without focus tracking and only up to a maximum of 90 shots at a time. In the AF-C autofocus mode, which is more important for sports and wildlife shots, the Panasonic Lumix GH6 only takes eight frames per second, but it keeps the focus on the object, even if it reduces the distance to the camera. By the way, what is new compared to the predecessor Panasonic GH 5 II is that one of the memory card slots is compatible with the fast CF-Express standard, the second is still intended for UHS-II.
Single issue 6.60 euros
The already strong performance of the DSLM is rounded off by the stabilized sensor, which in practice can compensate for around 7.5 exposure levels. A top value that is noticeable in light-critical situations.
Thanks to the best-in-class image stabilizer, you can hold the shot at 1/60 seconds out of your hand without blurring.

Power functions in a compact housing
The housing of the Panasonic Lumix GH6 is made of magnesium and is sealed against splash water. Despite the lavish equipment, the DSLM remains pleasantly compact, but the case is about one centimeter deeper than the previous Lumix GH 5II model due to the built-in fan. The weight of the body is around 823 grams.
Active cooling: Thanks to the fan built into the housing, the Lumix GH6 guarantees high-resolution films without overheating and forced shutdown.
