This geolocation system is useful in many different ways and we will explain them all to you. For example, if you have an e-commerce business, you can use it to find out if your customers are coming from within or outside your country. This can be useful because it will allow you to adapt your marketing strategies and offer different deals to the local or international users. It will also allow you to find out what kind of people are interested in your products based on where they are from. In this way, you will be able to customize your marketing strategies and attract a wider audience.
What else can this geolocation API do?
Another important application of this technology is for security purposes. If you want to improve the security of your website or app, this geolocation API is the perfect tool for you. By using it, you can know if the user accessing your site is a child or a malicious user who is trying to hack into your system. You can also check if the user is in a “safe” zone, i.e., whether they are coming from a secure page or not. All of these features are extremely important for any business and they should not be neglected at any cost. Moreover, this geolocator API is extremely easy to use and its results are highly accurate, so there is no reason why you shouldn’t try it out!
How does it work?
First of all, you have to sign up, which is an extremely simple process that won’t take more than a few seconds. After that, an access key will be given to you. An access key is a combination of letters and digits that will allow you to access our endpoint. There we will provide you with the information that you need. There are two different endpoints available for you to use; the first one is the geolocation by IP and the other one is geolocation by domain or URL. The first one allows you to determine the location of any IP address given to you by looking it up in a database. The second one allows you to look up the location information for any domain or URL. The information given by either of these endpoints is in a JSON format and it has three different types of data: latitude, longitude and altitude (in meters). You can also see the time zone of that location at any given moment, as well as its transmission type (Wi-Fi or mobile carrier).
With this API you will be able to check where your visitors are from by checking their IP. Also, you can query locations based on your stored IP’s and even by domain URLs.
To make use of it, you must first:
1- Go to Know IP or Domain Location API and simply click on the button “Subscribe for free” to start using the API.
2- After signing up in Zyla API Hub, you’ll be given your personal API key. Using this one-of-a-kind combination of numbers and letters, you’ll be able to use, connect, and manage APIs!
3- Employ the different API endpoints depending on what you are looking for.
4- Once you meet your needed endpoint, make the API call by pressing the button “run” and see the results on your screen.
